Fall Week 1 Season Kickoff
Hey, Leaders!
As we kick off this season, the first thing I want to do is honor you and say “thank you” for the role you serve as Community Group leaders. The ministry that has the most personal contact to the most people in the church is in Community Groups, and that is only possible because of your commitment. For a majority of people, their connection to the church, their closest relationships and their place of the most significant spiritual growth is in their community group. What you do makes a huge kingdom impact, and I want you to know that you are deeply appreciated!
As we kick off this season, week one will be more of getting to know you, catching up, and going over the expectations for the season. Then week two we will have normal questions, and week three will be a prayer experience, following the format we’ve been using the last several seasons. See the Facilitator Schedule for Fall 2024 below. Please remember to plan early for the week three prayer experience and the week six service experience; they always sneak up faster than we expect. Also check out the Expectations for the Season and the Roles Within a Community Group, which are also below.
Also for the Question of the Season (the one that is the same at the top every week), we want every person in the group to respond to that question, so please plan for that, noting that you may need to have two people respond each week if you have more than six or seven people in your group. Also, please remember as the leader that you set the example, so you should be the first to respond to the question; remember that your depth and vulnerability set the tone for the question and also for all of the questions as the season moves on.
Have a great week! Here are your resources:
