Japan is one of the largest un-evangelized nations in the world. Evangelical Christians make up only ½ a percent of the population. That is why church on the Hill has three Global Outreach Partners who have faithfully spent their lives tilling hard soil there for 27-39 years. Though the task is challenging, our missionaries have planted churches, started over 50 gospel choirs, distributed 100s of wheelchairs, and worked on translating the Bible into sign language.
This summer we are going to have a chance to join one of them in the important task of bringing Christ’s love to Japan. We are sending a GO Team of nine there in July. This team will have the opportunity to run a basketball outreach and clubs for kids and elderly, so that non-believers can encounter Christians and “taste and see that the Lord is good”.
Fundraiser: If you would like to support our GO Japan Team, on July 14 they will be raising support to buy basketballs and kids' supplies for their outreach there July 18-26. Be sure to stop by the lobby after service to fund a basketball or two from their fundraising board!
We'll also pray over them in the service to send them off to Japan on July 14!
