Fire Relief

Almost 80,000 of our neighbors, family members and friends have been evacuated from the mountains right around us. We wanted to help, so we collected and took up for four truckloads. Read more about it below.

If you weren’t able to join in, but still want to donate something specific, please contact susan@churchonthehill.com.

To give a financial donation we request that you give straight to Twin Lakes Church in Aptos at www.tlc.org/fire. They are offering emergency help to evacuees who are sleeping in tents in their church parking lot.

UPDATE:

After putting out a quick call over the weekend for supplies for those who had to evacuate from fires, our church and even our community responded! A sheriff, the Pancake House owner below our church, Next Door people, a soccer Mom friend, and some of our facebook friends contributed to the cause.

It was so exciting to see over 40 sleeping bags and blankets, 60 pillows, 120 cases of water and 150 large boxes of granola bars pour in!

On Monday afternoon we delivered 4 loaded-down trucks to Santa Cruz County's warehouse. The County is distributing the supplies to churches, nonprofits and sheltering sites all over the County.

Thank you for your generosity and for all the volunteers that brought relief to many in this difficult time of wildfires!
