Giving Tree
Every child deserves a gift at Christmas, but some who have been removed from their home for their own safety, might not get one, because sadly, they ended up in an emergency shelter home, group home, or foster home. We want to make sure that doesn’t happen, so this Christmas we are partnering with Help One Child, a non-profit that helps at-risk children, to provide 75 gifts.
To provide a gift or two, go to the wishlist below and sign up for a certain child and bring it unwrapped COTH by Dec. 12, 9am-11:00am. (The gifts typically cost around $40-$50). Please include a note with that child’s number, name , and wishlist on the present. Or you can pick up a gift tag from the Giving Tree in the lobby that has a QR code that takes you to the wishlist. Be sure to include the tag on the unwrapped gift when you bring it in.
If you sign up for a child, please bring in the present for them or they might not get one.
If you’re not much of a shopper, you could purchase one of the $25 gift cards on the list and bring it to church by Dec. 12 as well. That enables Help One Child to purchase presents for those that didn’t get fulfilled.
Volunteers Needed: If you’d like to volunteer for Gift Sorting on Dec. 12 (11:15am-12pm) or Gift Distribution on Dec. 19 (11:15am-1pm), write to susan@churchonthehill.com.
Let’s bless these children who so need and deserve our love this Christmas!
