Building a church in Cupang, Philippines

Our missionaries, Resty and Mel Enguerra, took our GO Philippines Team to a small church that is ministering to hillside people in a converted tricycle (that's a small taxi bike) garage. It was a wonderful, joyful experience! In just four years this church's Sunday worship attendance has grown from 12 adults to 30 and around 30 children are attending Sunday school regularly. Over 30 people have been baptized. They also have small group gatherings and Bible studies, and financial stewardship seminars for the people in the community during the week.

They have a problem, though. Their Sunday services are overflowing! People have to stand outside of the garage under tarps and in a rainy country like the Philippines, that is not the best case scenario.

The Enguerra having been coming alongside this church, starting a micro loan program going there, and now they're helping the church raise money to build a church building. In November the church kicked off a Cupang Church Building Fund Raising Project. Our church wanted to help this growing community have a church building and so we gave $4,000 towards the new building!
