PPE to Southeast Asia

From our medical Global Partner in Southeast Asia (May, 2020):

"COTH, thank you for your funds for gowns, masks, shields, and gloves for our nurses and doctors! Our outpatient clinic is quite full of patients with other diseases. Many are afraid to go to the government hospital for fear of contracting COVID. We are trying to refer all possible patients with COVID there.

During this warm weather, we have patients wait outside on benches. The nurse screens each one (all 300-400 of them) looking for possible COVID symptoms. Then one of the doctors evaluates them, deciding if the patient can go home or should be referred. It is a complicated process meant to give quality care, and yet, protect the staff and other patients." Our Global Outreach Partner
