Fall Week 8 The Story of Jesus

Scott here, just wanting to drop you a note about the message this week and some helpful tips for our questions and Community Group time.
This is the main point of the message this week: Our world is consumed with being AMUSED-- amused by media, games, amusement parks,...--but what we all long for is to be AMAZED by God. We will learn more about how amazing Jesus is. For instance, for 700 years the rabbis had been talking about a savior who would come. They taught that one day God would set them free. Then Jesus showed up and taught that “today” is that day; God’s presence is here; the kingdom of God is near; and that they needed to repent, believe, and be baptized. Jesus’ message was clear.
